Overview

The big-picture read on Logan as an investment market.

Stretching between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, Logan is fast becoming one of South East Queensland’s most dynamic growth corridors, driven by rapid population expansion, large-scale infrastructure investment, and a thriving property market. With a population of more than 345,000 and forecasts predicting more than 560,000 residents by 2046, Logan’s development is underpinned by strategic urban planning, affordability, and strong economic diversity.

Key employment sectors include healthcare, construction, and retail, with a Gross Regional Product of $18.24 billion. The LGA had a declining unemployment rate of 4.3% as of September 2025. Logan’s economic and lifestyle appeal is reinforced by major projects, including the $1.4 billion Logan Hospital expansion, the $5.75 billion Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail upgrade, and the city’s inclusion in Queensland’s $107 billion “Big Build” infrastructure plan.

The City of Logan LGA has five major industrial precincts at Berrinba, Crestmead, Kingston, Loganholme and Underwood/Slacks Creek. These areas accommodate several major transport and logistics businesses, including DHL, M3 Logistics, Direct Freight Express, CEVA Logistics, Toll NQX, AirRoad, PACCAR Parts and Linde. Holmwood Highgate in Loganholme builds road tankers and Australian Defence Force vehicles. Beenleigh is renowned for its rum production, with the artisan distillery at Eagleby being Australia’s oldest such facility.
